"There are several tales about the love between the God of the Moon and the Goddess of the Night, such as the one that explains the moon phases.
When Ranimmel realized that without light, the darkness of her night would bring chaos, she asked the God of Light to give her power to generate his similars, wich led to the creation of the moon and the stars.
Elatha was the name of the moon, and the moon fell in love with the night.
But Ranimmel, as the tales used to say, didn't know how to love. She couldn't.
For the night pierces everything that she loves with her thorns.
And so it was with the moon.
When they met, the night would bruise the moon and it would not shine with all of it's capacity. She'd recover to come back full, full of the most tenuous and bright love, but then the loop would return.
There are ones that believe that, when the moon gets tired of being pierced, there will be no more light to illuminate the night, not even the stars would be capable of such a feat.
Then the world would enter a cold and icy age."
